I'd always wanted to learn to spin fiber, and in 2010 I got the chance to own four beautiful alpacas on our little hobby farm Marsh Spring Farm. I joined Valley Spinners Guild and took a class on spinning. Every spring we have the alpacas sheared and we get eight bags of fiber from them all together. I've learned to clean the fiber, card and spin it. Very relaxing, and fun to see how it turns out. I am learning to weave. I've also crocheted with it a bit.
